(MORE) ABOUT ME
Via an interview with my friend Jason Freeman, host of the Awkwardly Awesome podcast...
I am so (SO) thrilled to put Other Ways OUT into the world and am energized by the number of new subscribers who found me as a result of
and . THANK YOU for joining me here.By way of further introduction, here’s my recent contribution to the Awkwardly Awesome podcast, hosted by my friend and college classmate Jason Freeman.
Jason —who bills himself as a “Professional Speaker with a Speech Impediment”— quite nearly didn’t survive his birth, due to unexpected trauma. Now, as a trained journalist and public speaker, he’s turned his own challenge into a platform for openness, compassion, and curiosity.
Framed as “Hard Talks,” we discuss death and dying, difficult personal relationships, and patient/parent advocacy. It’s a pretty complete primer to the stuff I think about and my approach to writing and creativity, to end-of-life care, to living!
ps: I really dislike watching myself talk. And I’m uncomfortable with pauses and silence, so feel free to listen at accelerated playback speed (as I did)!?
Wow, you guys covered a lot in this interview. So many things are so hard to talk about, but hearing your perspective having experienced these situations, I feel a lot of dots connecting, lights lighting up, and motivation brewing. Thank you for sharing.
